The Functional Movement Screen is a movement assessment used by coaches, trainers, clinicians, and therapists to observe fundamental movement patterns. Beginning with seven initial tests—including the deep squat, hurdle step, in-line lunge, shoulder mobility, active straight-leg raise, trunk stability push-up, and rotary stability—the screen helps identify mobility limitations, stability concerns, and movement asymmetries.
