Fitness Facility Design Case Study - Chautauqua Health & Fitness

The challenge:
Chautauqua Health & Fitness is the lifelong dream of owner Mark Elwood. We met Mark for the first time over two years ago in a vacant strip mall (the future home of Chautauqua H & F) to discuss some of his goals and concerns for the new gym. Marks passion for the project shinned immediately as he started rambling off ideas that had been built up for years. We walked away from our first meeting with these main points, set himself apart with quality equipment, relenting customer service with a strong emphasis on family values and a unique and diverse floor plan.

The Goal:
We assisted from the ground up on this project. We immediately got in touch with the architect and started layouts of the cardio decks, strength training areas and group fitness rooms. Once the layout was set it was time for equipment selection. We decided to outfit Chautauqua exclusively with Star Trac strength and cardio equipment because their long history of durability and dedication to service. We outfitted weights with Troy barbell GO plates and York Barbell dumbbells, Perform Better’s First Place Flooring and functional equipment are throughout the entire gym.
